Toyota Phaeton AB, 1929 (Tamiya 1/35)34 viewsThis is a 1/35 scale model of the first Toyota! Built in 1929, it was the first Japanese built and produced automobile. It was so successful, the Japanese military took almost all the first run of the soft-topped Phaeton AB for its own use. The finish is Tamiya Khaki and various shades of Alclad metallics.

Sea Hurricane Mk. 1B (Airfix)34 viewsAlthough the new Airfix kit is marketed as a standard Battle of Britain model all the parts for the Sea Hurricane are included. So, I decided “why not?” The big sky “K” is a stencil I made and the Royal Navy serial number were made on my computer. Other decals are from the kit. The paints, Extra Dark Sea Gray and Slate Gray, are Polly Scale I’ve hung onto for years.
Markings are based on information in Scale Aircraft Modeling Color’s “Combat Colors Number 2” which cover the Hurricanes from 1939 to 1945.
