Ersatz M-10 (Tamiya 1/35 Panther G kit with Czech Masters Conversion Set)40 viewsThis is one of ten Panther G’s that were modified to look like American M-10 tank destroyers as part of Operation “Greif”, which was a German false flag operation designed to take the Meuse river bridges during the Battle of the Bulge in late 1944.
The base model is the 1/35 Tamiya Panther G kit, but it has a metal barrel, a resin M-10 conversion set from Czech Masters, single link plastic tracks from Model Kasten and some PE grills from Eduard. All of this came out of the collection of Patrick Rourke who, sadly, passed earlier this year. I added the second crewman from another Tamiya kit. Also added some Bachmann trees to the scene.Nov 27, 2016
