The model is configured with bombs as it was for the second sortie of the day June 6, 1944. Col. Sansing was guest speaker at the June 1994 meeting of the ASMS on the 50th anniversary of D-Day. He now resides in New Braunfels, TX and has been the pilot of the Commemorative Air Force Cen-Tex Wing's P-39 for many years. Ret. Col. Sansing passed away June 30, 2014.
